Why should I consider using short links?

Short links are a great way to increase your visibility after someone visits your bio page and clicks one of your links. Instead of linking directly to the url, we redirect the user to a custom branded portal that allows them to view the webpage like normal with an Agent Bio widget that features your headshot, name, tagline, and a link back to your page.

This helps you accomplish a few things:

  • Visitors are more likely to click back to your bio page to view more content
  • Provides brand exposure and the ability to share resources that you didn't create
  • Makes it convenient for your visitors to click on your other links.

Notes about short links

Short links rely upon iframes to embed the url of your choosing. A website provider can block iframing by adding a request to their site headers. With that being said, we do respect these site headers and many major sites like YouTube, Zillow, Facebook, Twitter, do not allow iframing.

We automatically check to see if a url can be iframed, and if not we redirect to the originally intended url. You may notice some websites do not load in a portal and this is most likely the reason why.
